The New Book Banning

I understand that lead and other hazardous chemicals should be limited in goods sold for children’s use, but every time I hear about the CPSIA, it’s in the context of bullshit provisions that will hurt small businesses, especially ones that are predominately run by women.

I like that the ALA is taking the stand of “if they don’t confront us about this, it’s not illegal”. Librarians are the most kick ass subversives I’ve ever met. (via (via yellowhat)
